Little Rachel's Charity Water campaign

We haven’t seen many things of late that deserve more Propz than little Rachel and her Charity Water campaign.  We hope everyone donates and helps ensure her generosity in life provides hope for many, many people long after her death…

Apparently today is Social Media Day.  Not sure wtf that means, but it certainly sounds interesting.

In honor of this great day of global celebration, we have created a special class of #propz that you can use to show some Social Media love on this special day (propz to the 360i team for giving us the idea).

If you tag your tweets with #smdaypropz, your propz will be officially registered and tagged at Propz.me.

Make it happen, peeps.  After all, it’s Social Media Day!

Spread the love.  Give propz :)

It’s TED TUESDAY!

Make sure you dish out some #propz to your favorite TEDster.  This week, we’ll toss some #propz to Alexis Ohanian (@kn0thing)…founder of Reddit (and now Breadpig).  This dude rocks and we love this TED talk.  Mr. Splashy Pants may sound a bit ‘soft’, but to us…it’s Propz-worthy.

Rock-on Alex.  This #propz for you.

We’re fans of Tumblr (obviously…we’re using it for this blog).  And after seeing this tweet by Pete Cashmore, we consider Tumblr even more prop-worthy.  It’s a quote that someone from Tumblr said at the #mashcon conference last week.

They said:

Tumblr has no native comments cos they enable negativity.  Having to reblog brings into ur own space, discourages negativity.

We love this philosophy — it’s the core of what Propz is all about.  The web can be a great place to hang out…but it can also can be a dirty, nasty, negative place.

Propz was designed as an oasis from the web’s negativity.  It’s a network designed around the Prop - a positive show of respect for people doing positive things.  It a place to filter the web (and your network) by the positive.

By definition and design, Propz good place.  Haters need not apply…

Thanks to Tumblr to for spreading the love.  #Propz to them…

TED TUESDAY AT #PROPZ

We’re starting a new thing here at Propz.me.

In honor of the great TED institution, we are hereby calling on Propz nation to dedicate at least one prop to a present or past TED speaker….every Tuesday.  Starting today.

As always, you can give these worthy folks Propz on Twitter (just use #propz and the
person’s twitter handle) or on Propz.me.  Just click the Propz fist on the home page and give ‘em Propz!

We’ll kick things off right here by nominating our first worthy Tedster — the great Ken Robinson (@sirkenrobinson).  This dude deserves monster #propz for his work in revolutionizing education…not to mention his cheeky, English wit.  Our Propz go to Mr. Robinson (making his wife, Mrs. Robinson?) on this, the first TED TUESDAY at Propz.me!

Spread the love.  Give Propz :)

I don’t know why, but this is just cracking us up.  Much #propz go out to the digital short boys @ SNL, but the most #propz go to Mr. Michael Bolton on this.  Wish I had some funny quip to add to this, but it speaks for itself…Keira Knightley!

Show Michael some love — give him some #propz!

Here at Propz, we take Mother’s Day very seriously.  So, it only seemed appropriate to pass along this very powerful Mom’s Day message from our friend, Mr. T.

It’s easy to get caught up in the general hustle-and-bustle of this crazy world.  And during these times, we can forget to give propz to our moms.  Thanks for keeping us focused, T.

Oh…and #propz on the jean shorts.

Is there a more prop-worthy group of people than Moms?!?  Tough argument…

That’s why on this Sunday (fyi — Mother’s Day), you should be tossing all kinds of Propz at your favorite Moms (or Mom’s-to-be).

And we’ll make it easier for you.

For this Saturday & Sunday, you can give some special Propz to Moms.  Just use #momsdaypropz on Twitter, mention the Moms you most respect (with “@” handle) and you’ll toss 2 Propz to those Moms.

Ex.:

takin’ care of 6 kids is NOT easy - you deserve some #momsdaypropz @carolbrady

This weekend, show Moms some special love.  They’ve earned it…
